Maxx Mobiles has today launched a slider touch phone —

Maxx SOUL (MS727). With a 2.4" screen, the compact handset has a keypad as well for convenient texting.

The dual-SIM Soul MS727 comes with full metal body. Powered

with 900mAh battery, the phone is equipped with 1.3 megapixel camera and a free 2GB memory card that is pre-loaded with licensed multimedia content including music and videos.

The Maxx Soul comes packed with FM radio with scheduling,

audio player supported by MP3 and WAV formats and also with a video player supported by MP4 and3GPP formats. The JAVA enabled Maxx Soul offers GSM support, WAP and Opera Mini browser.

On the connectivity front, it comes with Bluetooth, MySync (PC suite) and USB Mass storage. Its price has been kept at Rs 3,395.

On the launch of Maxx Soul, Ajjay Agarwal, chairman and managing director, Maxx Group said, "Maxx Soul is developed keeping in the mind the users who like touch phones but prefer using keypads for basic texting and calling. Acer brings Liquid E Plus smartphone to India for Rs 12,250

After the Liquid E Ferrari limited edition phone, the Liquid E comes back to the Indian market as an entry level phone available at Rs 12,250.

Acer India has announced the availability of its new Liquid E Plus smartphone for the Indian market.

Acer Liquid E, which is the successor of the limited edition Liquid E Ferrari, houses almost similar hardware configuration but comes at a much lower price point. This is why the new Liquid E plus device is being projected as an entry level device for the Indian market.

"Acer Liquid E Plus is presently available in the market for Rs 12,250 across several cities in India," said an Acer India spokesperson to The Mobile Indian.

In terms of hardware configuration, the Liquid E Plus will come pre-installed with the Android v 2.2 Froyo (Frozen Yoghurt). There is no information on whether this device will get the Gingerbread upgrade or not available as of now.

Along with that, the Liquid E Plus will be featuring the same configuration as it predecessor including a under clocked Qualcomm snapdragon processor running at 786 MHz along with a dedicated Adreno 200 graphics processor.

The display remains the same at 3.5 inch with 480 x 800 pixel resolution with capacitive touch and a 5 megapixel auto focus camera. But, the company will offer a complimentary 8GB Micro SD memory card with the Liquid E Plus only in India.

Windows Phone Mango devices to arrive soon

Windows Phone Mango has been officially signed off as the release to manufacturing build which is a clear indicator that the devices are not far behind.

Microsoft has officially signed off the Windows Phone project and handed the source code over to device manufacturers for further optimisation of the latest Windows Phone operating system for their relative devices, according to the official blog post on the Windows Phone blog.

With this, the Windows phone "Mango" OS officially enters the RTM (Release to manufacturing) build phase. This is a good news that the much awaited operating system has reached a step closer to getting in to devices being made available to users worldwide, but the better news is that with the RTM phase on the devices will definitely be reaching the users in the coming few months.

The good work does not just ends here as Microsoft has already started working on the Windows Phone Mango operating system update for current Windows Phone 7 devices as well and Microsoft is aiming to catch up with the device release dates in order to make the update available on time.

Presently there is no official announcement on the date of this update but Microsoft is expecting this anytime during the months of October/November.

The Mango update for Windows Phone will introduce some new features including multitasking capability, hardware-accelerated mobile web browsing through Internet Explorer 9, better social media integration and last but not the least better support for Office documents in SkyDrive (Microsoft's free cloud-based storage service), and much more.

Till now we have already heard about almost every device manufacturer working on this new update based device but the first official confirmation for a Mango based device's availability came from Japan based manufacturer Fujitsu.

Fujitsu has gotten in to technical collaboration with Toshiba to come up with the first ever WP mango based device for Japan. The device is slated to be launched in the month of September but will be available only for Japan.

Fujitsu Toshiba announced this device amidst the anticipation of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update release from Microsoft. This is the first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update running smartphone and many more are yet to come. There's no word on the price and this phone will go on sale from September.

Slim Fujitsu Toshiba made IS12T smartphone features 3.7-inch WVGA (800x480) display. Under the hood it packs single core Qualcomm MSM8655 processor. Featuring 13.2-megapixel camera with autofocus, the IS12T handset comes with 32GB onboard memory.

Microsoft's next major update for mobile phones — Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update will be pre-loaded on this handset. The Mango update promises over 500 improvements at multiple levels for the Windows Phone 7 devices.

Several new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango based devices are yet to launch from Microsoft's handset partners such as HTC, LG, Samsung, Acer, Fujitsu, ZTE, Dell, and Nokia.

However, all eyes are set on the Nokia 'Sea Ray' handset that is set to arrive with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update. There's no word on official availability of the handsets.

Today, Microsoft formally announced that the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango build has reached the Release To Manufacture (RTM) stage. The final build of the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango will roll out soon if there are no major issues or bugs in the RTM build.

As promised earlier, Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 build is set for release in September.
